Reward Cards
If you find that you do a lot of your online grocery shopping at one supermarket you may wish to take advantage of its loyalty scheme. To benefit at M&S and Waitrose (John Lewis) you will need to sign up for their shop-branded credit cards, at Tesco you can use their Clubcard (although they also have a credit card) and at Sainsbury's you can collect Nectar points (they too have a credit card).
The points you collect will go towards vouchers or points (depending on the supermarket) which can then be used towards money off future broadcasts.

Waitrose
The Waitrose (John Lewis) card will earn you 1% of what you spend in store as vouchers which are issued a couple of times a year (for example £5 for every £500 you spend). If you use your Waitrose (John Lewis) card in other stores you will receive rewards worth 0.5% of what you spend (£2.50 for every £500 you spend).
M&S
The Marks & Spencer card will earn you 1% of what you spend in store as vouchers which are issued a few times a year (for example £5 for every £500 you spend). If you use your M and S card in other stores you will receive rewards worth 0.5% of what you spend (£2.50 for every £500 you spend).
Sainsbury's
With Sainsbury's you will get maximum loyalty points by signing up for a Nectar loyalty card, taking out their credit card, and always using them together. As with the other cards you will earn the most points by using the card in the shop to which it is linked, earning 2% of what you spend in Sainsbury's (for example £10 for every £500 you spend). If you use your card in other stores you will receive 0.2% of what you spend as points (£1 for every £500). The Nectar loyalty card can also be used in many other stores to accumulate points.
Tesco
Tesco Personal Finance offers a credit card, in addition to their Clubcard loyalty card. The Tesco credit card pays 1.25% on all purchases in store (£6.25 for every £500 you spend) and 0.25% on purchases from other shops (£1.25 for each £500 spent).

OnlineGroceryStore Tip: You don't have to redeem your points for vouchers to spend in-store when you have a Nectar loyalty card. You may find that you get more for your money by using your points at www.nectar.com.
